The Annual 2024
Hello and welcome to The Annual 2024! A yearly tradition of my favourite music that I enjoy sharing with you. This year features Grammy award winning artists and songs in full force.
Let’s take a look at a retrospective, The Annual 2023 featured Miley Cyrus with her breathtaking Flowers. The song won Miley her first Grammy in 2024. Huge congratulation to her and not the 1st time she has been recognized on The Annual. She is back in 2024 featured with Used To Be Young.
Speaking of Grammy wins, Kylie Minogue is back with Padam Padam! The Queen of The Annual also features with fellow Australian, Sia, for the amazing Dance Alone. Kylie just won her 2nd Grammy with Padam Padam and was also recently honoured at the Brit Awards as a Global Icon. Also heavily recognized at The Brits was RAYE who featured in last year’s The Annual.
Dua Lipa was there at The Brits to present Kylie her award. She is featured with her Barbie soundtrack song Dance The Night. Speak of the Barbie soundtrack, Billie Eilish won a Grammy for What Was I Made For? which is also featured this year.
I started The Annual over 20 years ago. It was way to keep track of my favourite tracks from the prior years and my response in some ways to a music industry that ignored my flavours of dance and pop. I’m sure my music tastes have evolved over the past 20 years but nevertheless the slew of recognition for the artists that are featured on The Annual warms my heart.
I hope you enjoy and here are my favourites discovered or released from March 21st 2023 to March 21st 2024:
