The Annual 2026

Welcome to the Annual 2026! It continues to be a pleasure to deliver a list of favourite tracks.

We open this year’s Annual with Grace Davies — former X Factor contest, new to The Annual, and arriving with a disco‑infused track that cuts deeper than its shimmer suggests. Super Love Me is a song about betrayal, wrapped in glitter but edged with truth. Lines like “When did you change your mind?” and “Dressed in your best disguise” set the tone.

That theme carries forward with Ava Max’s Know Somebody, a reminder of how easily we can mistake familiarity for understanding: “You think you really know somebody, but all you really know is their name.” It’s a sentiment that lands hard in a world that feels like it’s shifting beneath our feet.

Music has a way of doing that — speaking to the personal and the universal at the same time. And with that spirit in mind, I dedicate this The Annual to transgender people everywhere, who know all too well what it feels like to be betrayed by those who claim to stand for human rights.

We have a lot of singer songwriters which all are returning to The Annual. Cat Burns eloquently sings about How To Be Human. Norwegian Sigrid impressed with Hush Baby, Hurry Slow. Award winning RAYE returns on her 4th The Annual with WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!

We also have several newcomers including Dragonette, Annette Pfab, and Cannons.
